Catherine "Kay" Barone, 94 of Pottsville, died Friday afternoon at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pottsville.

She was born September 29, 1925 in Jonestown, a daughter of the late Wasyl and Tekla Pewor.

She was a graduate of Cass Twp High School.

Prior to retiring she was employed by the former Pottsville Hospital and Warne Clinic.

Kay was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, and a former member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church, Minersville and St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

She was preceded in death by her husband Angelo "Abe" Barone on July 27, 2014; a daughter, Kathy Marianelli May 2, 2019; 7 brothers and sisters. Surviving are a son, Gerard "Jerry" Barone and his wife Chris, Orlando, FL; 2 grandsons, Chad Marianelli and his wife Tracey, Adam Marianelli; a great-grandson Max Marianelli; son-in-law, Bruce Marianelli, Pottsville; Nieces and Nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 11AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a viewing from 9-10:30AM Thursday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions made to Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia, The Gulf Tower 707 Grant Street, 37th Floor Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1938 greaterpawv.wish.org. Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Eileen M. Goodwin, 55 of Pottsville, died Thursday afternoon at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia.

She was born September 9, 1964 in Pottsville a daughter of Joseph J. and Dorothy Bauer Conway, Pottsville.

She was a 1983 graduate of Pottsville Area High School.

She was employed by Diakon Community Services, Pottsville.

Eileen was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville.

Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband Bradford Goodwin, with whom she celebrated 28 years of marriage with on Feb 23; two sons, Joshua and Jacob Goodwin, Pottsville; 9 siblings, Joseph Conway and his wife, Lucy, Kathy Brennan widow of Bob, Michael Conway and his wife, Karen, Mary Lopez and her husband Joe, Aggie Messner and her husband Jack, Dodie Conway, Patricia Dolan and her husband Kenneth, John Conway and his wife Ann Pat, Rose Straebel and her husband, Rob; Several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Lisa Etkins and the entire Oncology Staff at Fox Chase Cancer Center for there loving care throughout Eileen's battle with cancer.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11AM from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30AM until the time of mass at the church. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave, Philadelphia PA, 19111. Interment will follow in Charles Baber Cemetery, Pottsville. Arrangements are under the care of James B. Humphrey, F.D., James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.

Marilyn Lee Rushing, 91 of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Ctr. Tamaqua.

Born Wednesday, November 30, 1927, in Michigan the daughter of the late Ralph and Rose (Wickham) Nelson.

Marilyn resided most of her adult life in Rock Island Illinois. She was devoted mother, and step-mother to her late husband, Glenn Rushing's nine children. Marilyn worked as a waitress and domestic. She enjoyed cooking, and taking long walks.

Surviving are; sons, Michael Heistand of Tamaqua, Stephen Heistand; daughter; Deb Fagan; and many grandchildren and great - great grandchildren.

Faye R. Kissinger, 84, of Tower City, passed away Friday, at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born in Tower City, July 6, 1935, a daughter of the late Conrad and Millie Lubold Witmer.

Faye was a graduate of the former Porter Tower High School.

She was a retired seamstress from the garment industry.

Faye was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City, it’s women's society and a member of the Good Time Senior Citizens.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Deiter, 1980 and Joseph Kissinger, 2009.

Surviving are her four children, Audrey Carl (Dan), Tower City; Kathy Ahrensfield (Henry), Gordon, James Deiter (Lori), Tower City and Jeffry Deiter, Naples, FL; 5 grandchildren, Stacy, Steven, Tracy, James and Christine; 6 great grandchildren, Tyler, Haley, James, Emma, Elijah and Clark.

A Celebration of Faye's life will be held Thursday, October 24th at 11:00 am from the Christ United Methodist Church, Tower City with Pastor Annette Shutt. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 400 E. Lawrence L. “Larry” Bosavage, Jr., 83 of Ringtown formerly of Shenandoah passed away on Friday morning, October 18, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born in William Penn (Shaft), he was a son of the late Lawrence L. Bosavage, Sr. and Mary (Rada) Bosavage.

He was a graduate of the former West Mahanoy Township High School, Shenandoah Heights.

Mr. Bosavage was a decorated Army veteran.

Larry retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation where he was employed as an engineer.

He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah, the Schuylkill County Democratic Committee, AFSCME, the Hoffman Crew Club, Frackville and the former Jolly Boys Club, William Penn. Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing the lottery daily.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents were his son, David Bosavage and his brother, Richard Bosavage.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Marlene J. Shirkness; one son, Gary L. Bosavage of Ringtown; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 10:00 am in Divine Mercy Church, 232 West Cherry St., Shenandoah with Monsignor Ronald C. Bocian, Pastor as the celebrant. Interment with military will follow in Our Lady of Dawn Cemetery, Shenandoah Heights. A visitation will be held on Wednesday morning from 8:00 am until 9:45 am at Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 South Jardin St., Shenandoah.
