Betty J. Gallo, 92, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, October 25th, at Orwigsburg Center, Orwigsburg.
Betty was born in York, PA on August 4, 1927, the daughter of the late Ida (Beck) and Franklin Becker. She was the widow of Vincent Gallo, of Pottsville and James Hoke, of York, PA and a member of Bible Tabernacle Pentecostal Church Schuylkill Haven, PA.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by 6 sisters and 4 brothers.
Betty is survived by a sister, Thelma Dellinger, of York, PA; a son, Franklin Hoke, husband of Aluana, of Washington Boro, PA; and four daughters, Jane Torbert, wife of Scott, of George Bear, DE; Ida Randt, wife of Donald, of Schuylkill Haven; Linda Marchalk, of Barnesville; and Nancy Schafer, wife of William, of Schuylkill Haven.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at Bible Tabernacle Pentecostal Church, Schuylkill Haven, PA, on Wednesday, October 30th at 11 AM, Rev. Ward Ketch officiating, with a viewing starting at 10 AM before the funeral service at the church.
Interment will be held at Schuylkill Memorial Park Schuylkill Haven after the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Betty’s name to Bible Tabernacle Church.

Brian K. “Pipes” Darker, 47, Frackville, passed away on Saturday morning at his residence.
Born in Pottsville, he was the son of Deborah Bashore Cappel and the late Earl Darker. Brian worked as a laborer for Fabcon Precast, Mahanoy City and was known to many as “Pipes.”
Brian was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying camping, hunting and fishing.
Brian is survived by his wife of 12 years, Shannon Price Darker, Frackville; his mother Deborah and step-father James Cappel; his daughter Brittany Darker and her husband William Butler, Frackville; his son Jaden Darker, Frackville; his brother Craig Darker, Minersville; his sister Tammy and her husband Rob Slish, Minersville; his father and mother-in-law, Harry and Peggy Price, Frackville; brother-in-law, Shawn and his wife Karen Price, Frackville; sister-in-law, Ashley and her husband Joseph Cammisa, Berwick; his three grandchildren: Aloura, Wyatt and Alison and also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 12 noon from the Thomas M. Sullivan Funeral Home, Frackville. Friends are invited to a visitation at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Joseph S. Koslosky, 65, of Williamstown, passed away Friday, October 25th at Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg.
Born in Pottsville, July 7, 1954, a son of the late Stanley and Susan Hudock Koslosky.
Joe graduated in 1972 from Williams Valley High School.
He retired in 2004 after 32 years, with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Education.
He was a former member of the Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, Williamstown. He was a current member of St. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Minersville.
Joe was an avid golfer, who could be found playing golf any chance he could get. He enjoyed watching all sports on television.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a infant sister, Elizabeth.
Surviving are his sister, Irene P. Schaeffer, Tower City; numerous cousins.
Office of Christian Burial will be Celebrated, Saturday, November 2nd at 10:00 am from the Dimon Funeral Home, Inc., Tower City with the Very Rev. George Noga. Burial will be in the Holy Spirit Byzantine Cemetery, Williamstown. Viewing will be from 9-10 at the funeral home.
