The American Red Cross is assisting 9 victims from Tuesday evenings fire in Pottsville.
Just before 8:30pm, Tuesday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 625 Pierce Street in Pottsville for a working structure fire.
Crews arrived on scene and found fire in the rear of 625 Pierce.
Fire crews had most of the fire knocked down within a half hour of arrival but remained on-scene until around midnight.
A 2nd alarm was called but those units were dispatched to the City of Pottsville for stand-by.
A mayday was called not long after arrival for crews that were inside the fire building when a flashover occurred. All firefighters were accounted for and not injured.
One firefighter reportedly suffered an ankle injury during overhaul later at the scene.
The home at 625 suffered the most damage with 627 and 629 sustaining some damage as well.
According to the American Red Cross, three adults and four child are being assisted from 625, and two adults are being assisted from 629.
A State Police Fire Marshal was set to be on-scene to investigate the cause on Wednesday.
