Crystal Morales, a Shenandoah Valley Senior, has been chosen as the Shenandoah Valley Student of the month for October.
Crystal is the daughter of Maria Colon.
Crystal's school activities include participating in
Varsity Cheerleading, Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Track and Field, Student Council, Student Ambassador, HOSA- Future Health professionals, SkillsUSA , Vice President Junior year- placing 2nd in districts for CPR and first aid, Youth Summit, Young Entrepreneurs Academy- created my own business called "The Bright Side", to help spread awareness about suicide prevention, National Honor Society, Technical National Honor Society, Student of the Month, Schuylkill Technology Center and Frackville Elks- November 2017, Student of the Month, Schuylkill Technology Center and Frackville Elks - April 2019, CPR, AED, First Aid Certification, OSHA 10-Hour General Industry (Healthcare) Certification, Personal Care Home Direct Care Staff Certification, Stop the Bleed Certification, Chief yearbook editor 8th grade year, Vice President of Student Council 8th grade year.
Crystal also volunteers through community service such as she was chosen to do St. Luke's internship/shadowing, Red Ribbon Week Committee, Toys for Tots Committee, Penny Wars Fundraising Committee, in charge of fundraising for STC car wash, Volunteer for Restoration Fellowship church, Block Party Volunteer, and a Student representative for DSI.
Crystal loves working at Boyer's Food Market, and helping her mom work around the house.
Her future plans are to attend Bloomsburg University's BSN Program.
Crystal will be recognized by the Shenandoah Valley School Board during their meeting on December 4th, 2019.
