The Mountaineers faced their in-district rival, the Ashland Black Diamonds, for the second time this season.
During their first meeting earlier in the regular season, the Diamonds came up scoreless against the Mountaineers.
During their second meeting, it seemed as if Ashland figured out Frackville's game plan since both teams failed to score at all during the first quarter.
By half time, the Mountaineers only lead by two, with a score of 8 to 6.
Those 6 points were the first and only points that a team was able to earn against Frackville all season.
The final score, Frackville over Ashland, 28 to 6.
Frackville will face Shamokin this Sunday at Mahanoy Area's field where the Tri-County Championships will be held.
