John H. Schickram, Tamaqua businessman, and civic leader passed away peacefully on Saturday December 14, 2019 at his home on Ryan Ave. in Hometown while in the loving care of his family.
Survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol A. (DeLay) Schickram; daughters, Amy Lynn Rarick and her husband Edward of Franklin Twp., Johnna Schickram of Tamaqua; sister, Debra Kay Radishofski and her husband David of Hazleton; brothers, Wayne H. Schickram and his wife Louise of Tamaqua, Craig W. Schickram of Weatherly and his grandsons whom he adored Ian and Aiden. Many nieces and nephews also survive John.
A 1967 graduate of Tamaqua High School, John enlisted in the United States Coast Guard. While serving in the Coast Guard, John attended damage control School at Governors Island in New York. He took carpentry , plumbing, masonry, and fiberglass boat repair courses'. John had further training in biological and chemical warfare, and fire fighting in Philadelphia. He served on oceanographic expeditions, at weather stations, and a tour of duty in Vietnam. John received the National Defense Medal, Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal, Navy & Coast Guard Combat Action Ribbon, Coast Guard Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Navy Battle Efficiency Award, Unit Commendation, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation, Vietnam Civil Actions Unit Citation, Vietnam Defense, Overseas Service, Sea Service, American Defense, Cold War Victory, Shellback Commemorative medals. John rose to the rank of E-6 before being Honorably Discharged.
Returning home from the Coast Guard, John worked William F. Schickram Trucking owned by his grandfather and father. Upon acquiring the family business, John expanded to excavation, welding and the operation of Schickram's Car Wash & U-Haul of Tamaqua which he operated for 17 years. John received a proclamation from the Mayor of Tamaqua naming March 5, 1997 John Schickram Day for his generous contributions to the community Police Department.
John, was affiliated with numerous fraternal and civic organization. Past member of the Gnaden Huetten Hospital Board, having served on the finance and grounds committees, former Bank Director of Miners National Bank, Heritage National Bank, and Main Street Bank of Pottsville. Former Rush Township Supervisor, having served as road master, Rush Twp, Zoning Board, and as delegate to Schuylkill Land Fill. John was Past Master and Past Trustee of the Tamaqua Masonic Lodge #238, and Vice President of the Temple Association. He was a member of the lodges blood and organ donor program. He was a Past High Priest and Past Trustee of the Tamaqua Chapter #177 & Past Grand Principal Sojourner of the Grand Chapter of PA. A member of the Council of Anointed Kings, and Hillbilly Degree of Lehigh County, Sovereign Order of Knights Preceptor, Past Master of Valley Council #352 of Allied Masonic Degrees, past thrice Illustrious Master of Council # 62 of Hazleton, past Commander of Ivanhoe Commandeers #31 of Mahanoy City, Knights of the York Cross of Honor, and a member of Mary Conclave Knights of the Red Cross of Constantine. Life member of Joshua Association. A 32 Degree and MSA Mason, also Past Sovereign Prince and Past Most Wise Master and presently trustee serving on the kitchen committee of the Bloomsburg Consistory, and life member. The seventh Division Past Commanders Line Officers Association, 45th Masonic "Tuie Club", Rajah Shrine Temple in Reading, Rajah Legion of Honor, Schuylkill County Shrine Club, Lehighton Order of Eastern Star and York Rite College #11. Life member of Grand Commandery Eye Foundation, Past Grand Tall Cedar of Schuylkill County Forest 50, Life member of Knights Masonic Council #72. Past Exalted and Past Trustee of Tamaqua Elks, member of National Elks Foundation, Past Commander, and Past Trustee of Tamaqua American Legion. Member of Carbon County 40 & 8 Club, Tower City Moose Lodge, Tamaqua Lions Club and past director, Chartered member of Independent Order of Odd fellows and Past Noble Vice of Tamaqua. Coaldale V.F.W, Chartered member of Tamaqua Amvets and Last Man Club. Life member of Vietnam War, Inc. Order of Cooties, Pup Tent 31. Linda L. Mosolino, 61, of Pottsville passed away Friday at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born in Pottsville December 13, 1958 she was the daughter of late Patricia Ginther & Harold Lord.
Linda was a graduate of Pottsville Area High School.
Most recently Linda had been working at the Catholic War Vets in Pottsville.
She loved the sun and being at the beach. Linda was an animal lover and enjoyed her pets and all others animals.
In addition to her parents she is predeceased her daughter Ashley and a sister Sharon Lord Raliff.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 35 years William Mosolino and her children: Edward Barnes partner to Carol of Minersville, Amy Barnes partner to Robbie of West Manheim Township, Amanda Mosolino partner to Jessee of Pottsville, and Jordan Mosolino partner to Heather of Pottsville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and sisters; Patricia Lord Sprie wife of Wolfgang of Atlanta GA and Pamela Lord Johns wife of Allen K. of Auburn and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1:30 P.M. at Grabowski Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven. Family and friends are welcome from 12:30 P.M. until the time of services. Interment will follow on the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Stasia A. Fliss, 97, of Minersville, passed away late Friday night at ManorCare, Pottsville.
Born in Minersville, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Anna Rokosz Fliss.
She was a graduate of Minersville High School. She was a retired garment worker having worked in the local garment industry. She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Minersville and a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville. She was a member of the Rosary Society and the St. Vincent De Paul Society of the church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Stephanie Shapinski and a brother Albert Fliss.
She is survived by a brother Joseph Fliss, Lancaster, nieces and nephews to include her caregiver, Sandra Sardinilli and her husband Nicholas.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM, Wednesday in St. Matthew the Evangelist, 139 Spruce St., Minersville. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 8AM to 10AM at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St. Minersville. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus #2 Cemetery, Minersville.

Delphine M. Huber, 91, of Geary Wolf Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Schuylkill East.
Born on January 3, 1928 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Mary Greenawalt Lehman.
She attended Pine Grove High School and was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Pine Grove.
Delphine was a Seamstress for the former Fox Knapp, Mfg., Pine Grove.
She loved the outdoors, especially gardening.
Preceding her in death were her husband Floyd A. Huber; three brothers, Marlin Lehman, Sr., Ralph Lehman, Eugene "Bob" Lehman, Sr.; four sisters, Arlene Winters, Anna "Betty" Zimmerman, Margaret Culbert, and Charlotte Connors.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Eltringham of Tamaqua, Janice Garosi of Aiken, S.C.; a son, Lee Huber of Pine Grove; five grandchildren, Shawn Huber, Jeremy Eltringham, Dr. Desiree Eltringham-Smink, Jessica Vigna, and Floyd Huber; 11 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove with Pastor Barry Spatz officiating. Franklin L. Fetterolf, 95, of Buck Run, Foster Township, passed away on Sunday at Seton Manor.
Born in Ramtown, Branch Township, on June 5, 1924, he was a son of the late Franklin and and Ida Recla Fetterolf. He was a 1942 graduate of Branch Township High School and attended Catawba College while stationed in North Carolina with the Army Air Corps during World War Two. After discharge, he attended the Pennsylvania State Police Academy and served with the State Police in numerous locations until he retired in 1984 at the rank of Sergeant at the Pottsville Barracks after 38 years of service.
He was a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville. He was also a member of FOP Lodge 65, the Good Intent Hose Company #1, Llewellyn and the former Branch Township AMVETS.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, the former Victoria Shelava, in 2001; a grandson, Jordan Marteslo, in 1985. The last of his siblings, he was also preceded by a brother, Harry Elwood Fetterolf and a sister, Mary Wynn.
He is survived by four children, Karen Wank (spouse, Albert), Llewellyn, Frank Fetterolf (spouse, Mary), Llewellyn, Carol Schank (spouse, Harry), Buck Run, and Victoria Marteslo (companion, Carl Pollard), Llewellyn; nine grandchildren, Joshua Wank, Dr. Frank Fetterolf, Dr. Brett Wank, Dr. Christopher Schank, Dr. Jeffrey Marteslo, Michael Fetterolf, Vanessa Frankenstein, Jaclyn Foster and Maria Fetterolf; seven great grandchildren, Matthew Wank, Gabriel and Valentina Fetterolf, Luke, Noah and Connor Frankenstein and Nolan Foster; nieces and nephews.
