Nancy L. (Hawley) Stewart, 84, of Pottsville passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at Schuylkill Center.
Born December 13, 1935 in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Edward M. and Evelyn E. (Yocum) Hawley.
She was a high school graduate from Pottsville High School. She was a member of the Eastern Stars and a Lionet.
Nancy was the president of the Pottsville PTA. She enjoyed reading, ceramics, traveling, and loved driving Camaros. She was a history buff. But most of all, she loved being with her grandchildren
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her late husband, Alexander J. Stewart.
She is survived by son, Kevin Stewart; daughters, Nancy Kimmel and Cindie L. Vidal and her husband Robby; eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00AM on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville, with Pastor Jack Murray officiating. Family and friends may call from 9:00AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

He was born on Sunday, December 18, 1955, in Ashland, a son of Lila J Wolfgang Lucas of Donaldson and the late Ray A Lucas.
Gary was a self employed coal miner and had also worked at Mammoth Materials Minersville.
He was a member of the Valley View Gun Club, VFW Post 2385 of Valley View, and Little Run Gun Club, Tremont.
He was preceded in death by his father; and by two brothers, David A Lucas and Robin E Lucas.
He is survived by two sons, Jason B Lucas and Travis R Lucas both of Donaldson; a daughter, Nicole L Lucas of Pine Grove; a grandson, Trent Wenner; three granddaughters, Chloe Lazur, Paige Lazur, and Jaycee Tobin; three brothers, Ricky L Lucas of Joliet, Kevin T Lucas of Donaldson, and Darryl W Lucas of Donaldson; four sisters, Judy A Hoover and Debra J Cinqmars both of Williamstown, Christine J Morgan and Donna E Morgan both of Valley View; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, Valley View, on Monday, December 30, 2019, at 11:00 am, with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating.
A viewing was held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial was made in Salem Cemetery, Weishample.

Born in Germantown, March 9, 1929, he was a son of the late Metro and Parasea Dugla Smolock.
Harry attended Ashland schools, and was a 25+ year veteran of the Armed Forces (Army and Air Force) - entering the service in 1945 to join his brothers in WWII. Harry worked in communications and cryptology with assignments all over the world. He rose to the rank of Master Sergeant at the time of his retirement. He briefly left the service after WWII and worked in the mines, as a mine foreman, but shortly after returned to the Air Force. Post his Air Force retirement he worked a number of places, and retired from Tamaqua Cable, Schuylkill Haven..
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his best friend Louise, four brothers John, Michael, George and Peter, and sister Ann.
Harry is survived by his children, Kathy Yoder and husband Allen, Orwigsburg, Maryann Parisse and husband John, Warminster, Donna Monaghan and husband Brian, Pottsville, and Michael Smolock, California; two grandchildren, Amanda Yoder Zelinsky and husband Stephen, Orwigsburg, Alexa Yoder, Orwigsburg; and two great grandchildren, Grant and Ella Zelinsky. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Grabowski Funeral home, with a private service and interment at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.

Sandra A. Moerder, 77, of Tamaqua, PA died on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in Coaldale, PA.
Born in Coaldale on August 5, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Edna (nee Arndt) Jones. Sandra was a 1960 graduate of Tamaqua High School.
She is survived by sons, Eugene Moerder of Tamaqua, Tony Pascoe of Tamaqua, and Mark Pascoe of Bloomsburg, PA; daughter, Lori Wagoner of Tamaqua; 10 grandchildren; brother, Henry Jones of West Virginia; and sister, Faith Rummel of Hometown, PA.

Isabelle Anne Martin, 85, of Tamaqua, PA died on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in Lehighton, PA. She was the wife of the late John E. Martin, Sr. to whom she was married 66 years at the time of his death on June 27, 2019.
Born in Morgantown, West Virginia on January 20, 1934, Isabelle was a daughter of the late Gertrude Evaline (nee Pugh) and Brooks Few Lanham, Sr. A 1951 graduate of Morgantown High School, she worked at the True Value Hardware Store in Schnecksville, PA; Jamesway, Tamaqua; and in the garment industry. Isabelle was a member of First Congregational Church, Coaldale where she was a past president of the Women’s Class and a deaconess. She was a member of the Schuylkill Gideons East for whom she served as a president and a chaplain of the auxiliary.
Isabelle is survived by sons, Jeffrey E. Martin and his wife, Melissa of Tuscarora, PA and John E. Martin, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Virginia Beach, VA; 11 grandchildren; 10 great great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by daughters, Joyann Martin in 1985 and JoAnn Hafer in 2005 as well as her siblings, Brooks Lanham, Jr., Donald Wayne Lanham, and Kathryn Brown.
Services will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, January 2 at the Zizelmann-Gulla Funeral Home, 500 East Broad Street, Tamaqua with The Rev. Dr. Wayne Benack officiating. Call 8-10 AM on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment in Sky View Memorial Park will take place at 11 AM on Friday, January 3. Ronnie Johnson, age 68, of Port Carbon, PA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 25th, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill, East in Pottsville.
Born in Troy, Alabama, on October 28, 1951, he was the son of the late M. C. Johnson and Gyzell (Anderson) Wise.
Ronnie was SGT Major Retired in the US Army serving from 1971 till 1993. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and loved watching football.
He was preceded in death by son Eric Johnson, four great grandchildren: Nathan Gelbutis and triplets Spencer, Mason, and Aria Young, and a brother Larry Johnson
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Mary Alice (Leskin) Johnson; son Ronnie Lynn Johnson and his wife Paula; daughter Stephanie McDonald and her husband Shane; son Richard Gelbutis and his wife Dolores; son Randy Gelbutis; daughter Mary Alice Paxton and her husband Norman; daughter Melissa Owens; 14 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a brother Donnie Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held private.

Alberta J. Witmer, 91, a resident of Gardens at York Terrace, passed away Sunday, December 29, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Schuylkill East.
Born on June 18, 1928 in Pine Grove, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Edith Krause.
Alberta had been employed as a Seamstress for Argo Mills.
She enjoyed puzzle books and putting jigsaw puzzles together.
Preceding her in death were her Husband, Lyman L. Witmer, Sr.; a Son, Kevin Witmer; two Daughters, Barbara Snyder and Sharon Adams; two grandchildren, Todd and Vaughn; three Sisters, Pearl Klinger, Betty Witmer and Shirley Fidler; three brothers, Stanley Krause, Claude "Bud" Krause and Harold Krause;.
Surviving are Daughter, Annette wife of Robert Stoudt of Pottsville; two Sons, Bert and wife, Sandy Witmer and Lyman "Shorty" Witmer, Jr.and wife Trudy; 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild; three Brothers, Herbert and wife Marion Krause, Dale Krause, Kenneth and wife Sandy Krause all of Pine Grove.
All services will be held at H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Storm Hutchinson officiating and will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Pine Grove.
