Two Rescued from Butler Township House Fire Sunday Morning

Two people were injured in a house fire in Butler Township Sunday morning.


Just after 10:00am, Sunday morning, emergency personnel were called to a home located at the intersection of Tiley Road and Dutchtown Road, near Gordon, for a house fire with possible entrapment.

Butler Township Police, Ashland Police, and firefighters arrived at the home, located at 7 Tiley Road, within minutes and found heavy smoke and fire coming from the home.

Police and firefighters kicked in the front door of the home and rescued two residents.  The male and female were taken to separate landing zones and flown to area hospitals with unknown injuries.

The fire was reported under control within a half an hour but crews remained on scene for over 2 hours for overhaul.

Responding crews to the scene included Gordon Fire, Fountain Springs Fire, Lavelle Fire, Englewood Fire, Altamont Fire, Aristes Fire, Washington Ambulance, Minersville EMS, Ashland Police, and the Ashland Fire Police.
