A Pennsylvania State Trooper was reportedly shot during an incident Tuesday afternoon in Tioga County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, around 12:30pm, the Trooper was making a welfare check at a home on Barney Hill Road in Nelson Township, Tioga County when someone inside the home opened fire.
The trooper was flown to an area hospital for unknown injuries.
UPDATE (3:30pm): The trooper who was shot was conscious and alert before undergoing surgery. Another trooper at the scene is being treated for a possible broken leg, sustained while seeking cover from the gunfire. The gunman remains barricaded. Additional PSP resources are onsite.
