A police chase near Pine Grove late Friday ended when the vehicle being chased ended up in a pond.According to the Pennsylvania State Police, around 11:00pm, Friday, a State Trooper attempted to pull over Tyler Nornhold, 22, for a traffic violation on Sweet Arrow Lake Road. Instead of stopping, Nornhold led police in a 5 mile chase that ended up he drove his vehicle into a pond, submerging the vehicle.
Nornhold was able to get out of the vehicle and troopers took him into custody.
Nornhold was already wanted for fleeing police during a chase on January 2nd, 2020 in the borough of Tremont.
For the January 2nd incident, Nornhold was charged with fleeing and eluding police, recklessly endangering another person, driving without a license, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and various traffic violations.
Nornhold was arraigned by on-call Magisterial District Judge David J. Rossi and locked up in Schuylkill County Prison on $10,000 straight cash bail for the January 2nd incident. Additional charges will be filed.
