Dale W. Ferrier, 96, of Cressona, died Thursday, January 16th, at Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, PA.
Dale was born in DuBois, PA on June 12, 1923, a son of the late Ora (Walk) and William Ferrier.
He was the husband of Betty I. (Heberling) Ferrier, to whom he was married 70 years.
Dale was a graduate of Cressona High School and attended technical school, prior to joining the US Air Corps. He served during World War II.
He was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Cressona, PA.
He retired from Alcoa in 1977 as a die repairman.
Dale was a member of Alcoa25 Year Club.
Dale is survived by two daughters, Diane Hilyard wife of Scott, of Lebanon, PA, and Joan Shollenberger wife of George, of Bethel, PA, three grandchildren: John, Geoffrey, & Timothy, and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 21st,with Rev. Kevin Fruchtl officiating.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
Interment with military honors will follow the funeral service at Cressona Cemetery, Cressona.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's UCC, 30 Pottsville Street Cressona, PA 17929.

Born in Pottsville, PA on April 8, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Albert & Alice (Millinger) Clocker.
She was the widow of Kenneth R. Hartranft, her loving husband of 64 years.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gerry is also preceded in death by her brothers: Albert, & Luke, and her sister, Nancy.
Gerry had worked as a folder at textile factories in Pottsville, & Orwigsburg for 46 years.
She was a member of United Presbyterian Church, St. Clair, PA. She also belonged to the Pottsville Senior Citizens.
Gerry and her husband loved camping and driving vacations.Together, the couple visited all but 7 states.
Although Gerry & Kenny never had children of their own, they loved their nieces & nephews as if they were their children. She is also survived by two sisters, Betty Grickis-Lambert, Schuylkill Haven, and Helen Wallauer, New Jersey.
A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted at Ebling-Stabingas Funeral Home, Cressona, PA, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 24th, with Reverend Robert Schaeffer officiating.
A viewing will be held Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
At the family's request, donations in Gerry's memory may be sent to United Presbyterian Church 120 N. Mill St. Saint Clair, PA 17970.

Cynthia A. Davis, 64 years of age of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Broad Mountain Nursing Home in Frackville.
Born Tuesday, March 8, 1955 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Richard Wadyak and Joan (Mauer) Wadyak of Pottsville. Cindy was raised by her deceased grandparents; George and Irene (Levy) Mauer.
She is survived by; husband, James W. Davis, Sr. of Tamaqua; sons, James W. Davis, Jr. of Summit Hill, Barry J. Davis and his wife Amy of Tamaqua; brothers, John " Jack" Wassel and his companion Kelly Knepper of Tamaqua, Cory Wassel and his wife Krystal of Tamaqua, sister, Elaine Goho wife of Richard of Tamaqua; grand children, Barry Davis, Jr., Nathaniel, Tatum; great grand children, Nate and Everleigh.
A Tamaqua High School graduate, Cindy had worked in the Textile Industry, for Burger King and in Home Health. Cindy, enjoyed camping and the companionship of her dogs, Cosmo, Malibu, and Bear.

John M. Stablum, 53, of Branchdale, passed away Wednesday at his home.
Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Charles and Barbara Kanaval Stablum.
He was a 1984 graduate of Minersville High School. He was a member of the former St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Branchdale and a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville. He was retired from the Garden State Tannery in Fleetwood. He was a member of the Muddy Creek Sportsmen’s Club and a member of the Citizens Fire Co. of Branchdale.
He is survived by a sister, Bonnie Witman and her husband Craig and a brother Charles Stablum Jr., all of Branchdale; 2 nephews, C.J. Stablum and David Witman and his fiancée Sonia Bernetskie; a niece Megan Coulburne and her husband Justin and his best friend “Abby” his pet.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM, Monday in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce St., Minersville. Hilda E. Lamb, 101 of Pottsville died, Friday morning at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.
She was born July 31, 1918 in Clementon N.J. a daughter of the late James and Esther Charlesworth McConville.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Manoa PA
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Lamb, in June of 1962; an infant son; a son Dennis Lamb, 1977; a daughter, Sister Janet Marie Lamb, (RHM); brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughter, Lynn Steidle and her husband James, Pottsville; a son Kenneth Lamb and his wife Barbara, Cape May, N.J.; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews;
