The victim in a fatal crash on Route 183 in Wayne Township has been identified.According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred around 2:30am near 1360 Route 183 in Wayne Township near the Schuylkill/Berks County Line.
Police say a Eric Wurst, 49, of Palo Alto was travelling north on Route 183 when he lost control due to icy road conditions. The vehicle hit a drainage culvert and overturned.
Wurst died at the scene of the crash and was pronounced dead by Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner David Truskowsky.
Route 183 was closed for a period of time while the scene was investigated.
