A teen from Berks County has been identified as the victim in a fatal crash on Route 501 near the Schuylkill County line late Wednesday.According to officials in Berks County, Olivia M. Gingrich, 18, of Heidelberg Township died when she lost control of the truck she was driving on Route 501 in Bethel Township near the Schuylkill County line due to slippery road conditions, struck a tree and overturned.
She was not reported to be wearing her seatbelt and pronounced dead at the scene by a Berks County Deputy Coroner.
Gingrich was a student at Conrad Weiser High School.
Route 501 was closed from the Schuylkill County line to Airport Road while the scene was cleared and investigated.
