Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) will offer Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training programs this spring for individuals who are likely to respond to pre-hospital emergencies or those considering a medical career.
Interested candidates must attend a free information session before enrolling in the training. Info sessions are scheduled for 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, or May 27, both at LCCC Tamaqua at the Morgan Center.
To be accepted into the EMT program applicants must submit a physician release form and proof of medical insurance. All registrants will receive the form in an email one month before the first class.
LCCC Tamaqua will hold an accelerated EMT Basic class in Schuylkill County, June 8 through July 30. Classes run Monday through Thursday, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to noon. Fee of $1,250 includes text. Registration is open for the class and information sessions.
