The Northumberland County District Attorney, Tony Matulewicz announced charges on Thursday against a Pennsylvania State Constable for falsifying records.
According to the announcement, DA Matulewicz filed criminal charges against Patrick M. Reynolds, 53, of Branchdale Providing a False Address on a Voter Registration Application, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Tampering with Public Records, and False Swearing, both of which are misdemeanor of the second degree charges.
Matulewicz said aNorthumberland County resident contacted this District Attorney's Office earlier this week and advised them that Reynolds is a full time resident of Schuylkill County and lived at the Schuylkill County address at the time he sought an appointment to the Office of Constable in December 2015.

An investigation revealed that Reynolds owns a home in Schuylkill County and continuously resided at this address since 2007. Reynolds supplied a Mount Carmel address in a petition he filed with the court in order to obtain an appointment to Constable, and also allegedly falsified his voter registration records to match the address provided to the court.
A preliminary hearing will be held in a few weeks on the charges.
