Port Carbon Police Recover Stolen Vehicle




The Port Carbon Police recovered a stolen vehicle earlier this week.

According to police, on Wednesday January 29,2020, at approximately 8:09 P.M., Port Carbon police were summoned to 112 North St. for a motor vehicle theft. 

Additional information received indicated that a red Plymouth Town & Country van was taken from in front of the residence. A short time later Officer Weikel located the vehicle traveling north on Route 209. A brief vehicle pursuit ensued before the suspect was taken into custody.

Officer Murton charged Dominic A. Guido, 18, of St. Clair with Theft by Unlawful Taking (motor vehicle), Receiving Stolen Property, and Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police.

Guido was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge, David A. Plachko, and locked up in Schuylkill County unable to post $25,000 bail. 

The Port Carbon Police were assisted by the St. Clair Police Department and Schuylkill Township Police Department.
