Arthur J. Leffler, 77, of Oak Grove Rd., Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2020 in the Tremont Health & Rehab Center.
Born on November 15, 1942 in Pine Grove, he was a son of the late Harvey and Ada Kreiser Leffler.
He attended Pine Grove High School.
Arthur was a laborer for various companies.
He loved hunting, fishing, his cats, and his good neighbors, the Aungst, Bretz, Frank and Wolfe families.
Surviving are his brother, Fred and wife Helen Leffler of Pine Grove; sister, Betty Gehman; two nieces, Maureen and husband Jeremy Zerbe, and Jessica Leffler; great nephew and niece, Ayden and Paige Zerbe; an aunt Lillian Leffler of Pine Grove.
All Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Edward J. Melusky Jr., 86, former Ashland resident, passed away Tuesday, January 28th, at the Shenandoah Manor Nursing Center. Born in Shaft, he was the son of the late Edward and Margaret Fulda Melusky Sr. He attended the former West Mahanoy Township High School, and later served in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. H.R. Dickson during the end of the Korean Conflict. Ed worker for the Borough of Shenandoah as a truck driver until his retirement.

Survivor:

Brother: Jerome Melusky, Beaver Meadows

Private interment with Navy honors will be held at a later date in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

The Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.

Catherine C. Lorah, 91, of Brandonville, passed away Friday, January 31st, 2020.

Catherine was born in West Mahanoy Township on May 21, 1928, a daughter of the late Carrie (Morrell) and George Drumheller.

She was a homemaker, and also worked in the local garment industry.

Catherine was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville. She enjoyed crocheting as well as traveling and camping wither her friends and husband of 71 years, William Lorah, Sr., of Brandonville.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters.

In addition to husband William, she is survived by a son, William Lorah, Jr., and his wife Linda, of Brandonville; her daughter Jean, wife of Thomas Sharkey, of Hazle Township; and a brother Frank Drumheller, and his wife Betty, of Benton.

She is also survived by grandchildren, Audra Flaherty, Amanda Lorah, Aaron Lorah, Thomas Sharkey, Beth Ann Sannie, Michael Sharkey and Erik Sharkey. 8 great grandchildren survive, as do nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020 at the Stauffer-Breznik Funeral Home, 412 West Main Street, Ringtown, with burial at the Brandonville Union Cemetery following the service.

Relatives and friends are invite to attend a viewing from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are asked to be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Brandonville.
