A standoff that started early Saturday has ended in Mount Carmel.The incidents leading up to the standoff reportedly started in Shamokin early Saturday when Akeem Gregory allegedly shot another person.
An arrest warrant was issued for Gregory which led police to Mount Carmel. When police arrived at the home, Gregory refused to come out.
Maple, 5th, and 6th Streets were all shut down in the area to create perimeter.
A SERT team had been called to the scene to aid in the situation.
Just after 11:00am, law enforcement removed the Gregory from the building.
