Cell phone usage was to blame for a crash in Norwegian Township on Thursday.According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the crash occurred on Thursday, March 12th, 2020 around 3:10pm on East Maple Avenue in Norwegian Township.
Police say Edward Rich, 64, of Pottsville, was driving and using his cell phone and left the roadway. His Nissan Murano struck a utility pole.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and the pole sustained major damage. Rich was not injured.
Hatter's Towing assisted police at the scene.
