On Sunday, the PA Game Commission will be conduction a controlled burn in Rush Township, Schuylkill County.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission will be conducting a 70-acre controlled burn (aka prescribed fire) on State Game Lands 227 in Rush Township, Schuylkill County on February March 15th, 2020.
The burn is being conducted to to improve the fire dependent oak trees found on SGL 227.
Smoke may be visible from the boroughs of Tamaqua and Hometown. Smoke may also be visible while travelling on I-81, SR 309, and SR 54 between the hours 10:00am and 5:00pm.
