A Mahanoy City man will be charged after an incident on Interstate 81.According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Frackville, on March 4th, 2020, around 2:15pm, Christopher Hamlett, 31, of Mahanoy city and Troy Thompson, 47, of Pine Grove were travelling north on Interstate 81 near the Frackville interchange.
Police say Hamlett approached Thompson from the rear and made contact.
Thompson pulled to the right, but Hamlett passed on the left and accelerated.
Thompson then began to follow Hamlett to obtain his registration number.
While alongside, Hamlett swerved at Thompson and made contact again.
Thompson pulled over at the Mahanoy City interchange while Hamlett fled.
No injuries were reported and both vehicles sustained minor damage.
Police were able to identify Hamlett and locate him.
Charges will be filed on Hamlett for the incident.
