A Pine Grove man was flown after a crash in Washington Township Saturday afternoon.According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, around 3:45pm, police, fire, and EMS were dispatched to the area of Dewalt Road and Mountain Road for a single vehicle crash.
Police say, the driver, Brian Foster, 43, of Pine Grove, missed a slight turn in the road, went off the roadway, and struck a tree head-on.
When emergency personnel arrived, Foster was found unconscious, was extricated, and taken to a landing zone where he was flown to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
Police say Foster did have the odor alcohol emanating from his breathe and charges of DUI are pending.
Assisting State Police at the scene were the Friedensburg Fire Department and Pine Grove EMS.
