Earlier this week, the Minersville Police learned of a man using counterfeit currency within the borough.
Police said on March 18th, 2020, a black male entered the Dollar General and purchased a Visa Gift Card worth $300 using three $100 bills.
During the purchase, the bills passed a pen test, but learned later that the bills were counterfeit.
Police say the same thing happened again, Saturday, at the Dollar General in the borough of Ashland and they believe its the same suspect.
