Even though reports of other Saint Patrick's Day parades are being postponed due to the spread of the coronavirus, the Pottsville Parade will still march on.
According to organizer, Dan Koury, the parade, coordinated by the Ancient Order of Hiberians Division 2, is still moving forward and will begin, Saturday, March 14th, 2020, at 11:00am.
Pottsville Mayor, James Muldowney, is this year's Grand Marshall with pipe bands, school bands, and dozens of floats and entrants.
The day will start with mass at St. Patrick's church at 8:00am and a breakfast buffet will follow at the Crimson House at 9:00am.

At 11:00am the parade will proceed from 12th street east on West Market Street, south on North 2nd Street, east on Mahantongo St, north on Centre Street and finally east on Laurel Boulevard, ending at 2nd and Laurel Blvd at the Humane Fire Company.
A Grand Irish Party will follow at the Fire Company following the parade at 12:00pm.
