Dorothy (Oakill) Monaghan, 91, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 at Providence Place, Pottsville.
Born in Forestville, December 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Lewsock) Oakill.
Dorothy was a 1946 graduate of Cass Township high school and went on to pursue a nursing career after completing her education at Ashland State Hospital. As a registered nurse, she was the head of the Pediatric Department at Good Samaritan Hospital, Pottsville. She had a love for flowers and decor. She was past President of Pottsville Garden Club, former judge at the Philadelphia Flower Show, and a member of South Schuylkill Garden Club. She was also an active member of the Parent Groups at White Haven Center and United Cerebral Palsy.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville and a former member of Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Minersville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her late husband, James Anthony Monaghan; daughter, Carey Monaghan; and sister, Marie Olson.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Pam Leymeister wife of Richard, Brian Monaghan husband of Donna, and Shelia Monaghan wife of Argie Tidmore. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Sara Siro wife of Michael, Eric Leymeister, Haley and Zoe Tidmore; two great grandchildren Jackson and James Siro; sister, Patricia Azain, Goleta, CA; and many nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Calvary Chapel, Hillside, Pottsville.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Saint Patrick’s Church, 319 Mahantongo St, Pottsville, PA 17901.

Peggy Lee Minnich, 71, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Sunday, March 29th, at her residence.
Peggy was born in Pottsville, on December 11, 1948, a daughter of the June (Kock) Jackson, Orwigsburg and the late Alvin Jackson.
She was the wife of Clayton "Butch" Minnich.
Peggy is preceded in death by her father and sister Betty Bohn.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Kevin Schrader and girlfriend Bonnie, Mahanoy City, Gerald Schrader, Schuylkill Haven and David Schrader husband of Jessica, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren Joshua, Abbie and Micaela Schrader; great grandchildren Nevaeh and Sophia.

Margaret R. Almeida, 78, passed away Monday, March 30, 2020 at her residence in Ashland, PA.
Margaret was born in Philadelphia, PA February 21,1942t daughter of the late Jake Labor and Elizabeth Labor. Margaret Graduated from Philadelphia High School and worked for many years in the manufacturing of electronics until retirement.
Preceding her in death was a daughter Suzanne M. Pukwich in January of 2020.
Surviving are two daughters: Patricia Reynolds, Ashland and Linda Becker of Shamokin,PA.

Dennis M. “Merf” Miller, 69, of Tamaqua, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2020, in the Hometown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Lehighton, he was the son of the late Mervin R. and Mary L. (Wolfe) Miller. Prior to retiring as a lifelong truck driver, he was employed for 10 years by J.W. Zaprazny, Inc., New Ringgold and 20 years by KME, Nesquehoning, delivering fire trucks and working in the shop. Previously he worked in asphalt paving construction and at Mahoning Valley Glass. Merf was a track official at Evergreen Raceway, St. John’s and Mahoning Valley Speedway, Lehighton. He was a life member of Andreas Sporting Club, where he served as past president and Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club, Lehighton. He was an avid hunter and a 1969 graduate of Tamaqua High School.
He was preceded in death by a great grandson Brayden.
Surviving are a son, Travis, of Tamaqua; a daughter, Jaime Miller, of Parryville and her fiancé Frederick Hancharick; a stepdaughter, Shannon, wife of Brad Wetzel, of Pittsburgh; a sister, Delores, wife of Robert Kintz, of Lehighton; two granddaughters, Tory and Addison, and a great grandson, Bentley.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Interment will be in the Packerton Cemetery.

John J. "Tic" Frantz, 69 of Pine Grove, passed away on Monday morning, March 30, in Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born on January 8, 1951, in Pottsville, he was a son of Joan Keefer Frantz of Pine Grove and the late Sterling S. Frantz.
He served in the National Guards and the Reserves.
John was a 1970 graduate of Pine Grove Area High School He had been employed as a construction worker and then was a self-employed food truck vendor.
John adored his grandchildren and enjoyed being with them. He was a member of various social clubs and was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of 44 years, Carol Morgan Frantz; two Sons, John Frantz of Pine Grove, Russell and wife Erin Frantz of Schuylkill Haven; 5 Grandchildren, Derek Frantz, Morgan Frantz, Austin Frantz, Brayden Frantz and Christian Frantz; one Sister, Susan wife of Thomas Umbenhauer of Pine Grove.
