A Pine Grove man has been charged after he racked up hundreds of dollars in charges on a stolen credit card.
According to Pine Grove Police, Officers were informed by the victim that their bank account balance was negative $600. The victim reported three separate transactions withdrawing $200 from a nearby ATM. The victim also reported a pending Western Union purchase that was “pending” on their account.
An investigation into this incident led officers to believe that Ross Novack, 30, of Pine Grove was the suspect.
Officers were able to interview Novack who later admitted to stealing the debit card and wracking up the charges. A total amount of $787.79 was charged to the victim’s account. Novack will now have to answer to the charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property before Magisterial District Judge David Rossi, Tremont.
