Diann M. Galvin, 76, of Mount Carbon, passed away Monday, April 6, 2020 at Schuylkill Center Genesis.
Born in Pottsville on November 7, 1943, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Schwartz) Tobin.
Diann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville and Circle 3 of the church.
She enjoyed spending time with her grand-dog, Scruffy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Galvin.
Diann is survived by her son, Dave Galvin husband of Melissa, Mt. Carbon, sister, Nancy Eckert and several nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. Pastor Chris Rothharpt will officiate. Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17110.

Merle E. Foose, 100, formerly of Bern Township, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 11:08 am in Country Meadows of Wyomissing. She was the wife of the late Paul L. Foose, who passed away January 19, 1973. Born in Donaldson, Schuylkill County, Mrs. Foose was the daughter of the late Franklin G. and Carrie E. (Schaeffer) Klinger and was raised by Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Morgan. She was graduate of Tremont High School in 1937; Frailey Township High School and McCann School of Business and was a member of Christ Little Tulpehocken Church in Bernville. She was employed by Narrow Fabric in Reading until her retirement. Mrs. Foose enjoyed gardening, food preparation, traveling, and her pet dogs and enjoyed the company of family and friends. Mrs. Foose is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and was preceded in death by her siblings Dorothy Morgan, Clyde Klinger, Gladys Zimmerman and Leroy Zimmerman.
Graveside Service will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park, 75 Memorial Drive, Schuylkill Haven, Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm. Jean Marie Haag, 89, of Minersville, was called home by God on Monday morning with her two daughters by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Robert C. Haag, on March 7, 2014.
She was employed as a sleeve setter for many years at the former Alpha Mills, Schuylkill Haven, before retiring.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Lee Kramer and her husband, Elmer, Minersville; and Debra Jean Umbenhauer and her husband, Robert, Pottsville.
She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. A heartfelt thank you to her caregivers in the Connections Unit at Providence Place, Pottsville. They treated her and her daughters like family for the past six years.
She was employed as a sleeve setter for many years at the former Alpha Mills, Schuylkill Haven, before retiring.

James “Abner” Ciavaglia, 58, of Summit Hill, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at his home. Born in Coaldale, he was the son of Joseph Ciavaglia of Summit Hill and the late Lois E. (Ellis) Ciavaglia who passed away on March 7, 2020. He was a graduate of Panther Valley High School, Class of 1979. James worked for the former Tommy’s Bakery in Summit Hill, then for the Summit Hill Post Office from 1987 to 1997, then for the former Liquid Fence Company in Nesquehoning and last for Highline North America, LCC in Hometown. He was an umpire and announcer for the Summit Hill Little League for many years. James was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving along with his father; is a Brother, Joseph “Buddy” Ciavaglia and his wife Terry of Penn Forest Twp.; Sister, Donna Boruta and her husband Thomas of Towamensing Twp.; Nephew, David Boruta and his wife Faith of Virginia and Niece, Heather Berger and her husband Brent of Summit Hill; Great Nieces, Vera Berger and Audrey Joy Boruta; Several Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. He was preceded in death by a Sister, Joanne and an Infant stillborn Brother.

Joan C. Fucci, 81, of Gordon, passed away Monday April 6th, at the Lehigh Valley Medical Center, East Norwegian St., Pottsville. Born in Frackville, November 27, 1938, she was the daughter of the late William and Tillie Kozlowski Green. She was a graduate of the former Frackville High School, class of 1956. She was employed for Ashland Shirt Factory (Gitman Brothers), as a sewing machine operator until her retirement in 2007. Joan loved shopping, spending time with her grandchildren, and doing Word Search puzzles.
She was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Gordon.
Preceding her in death was a son, Fred Fucci Jr., passing in September 1998, sisters, Irene Herb, and Estelle LaTorre, and a brother, William Green Jr.
