Brian David Hoffman, 61, of Pottsville, passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020 at his residence.

Born on May 2, 1958 in Pottsville, he was the son of the late Robert D. and Mildred T. (Kutchoodon) Hoffman.

Brian was a past member of St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. He was very handy and a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working on car and construction. He also enjoy spending time with his dog, Boo.

He is survived by his sisters, Carol Ann Kramer and Sandra Louise Murton, nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held privately from Schlitzer Allen Pugh Funeral Home, 515 W. Market St., Pottsville. Pastor John Wallace will officiate. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Hillside.

Paul J. Steele, 58 years, of Glenwood Ave., Tamaqua, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday April 19, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Salisbury Twp.

Born Friday, February 9, 1962 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania. he is survived by; mother, Margaret (Kellett) Steele; daughter, Danielle L. Anthony and son in law Brandon of Lehighton; sisters, Diane Simmons of Tamaqua, Jean Marie Steele of Selinsgrove, Ruth Ward wife of Thomas of Tamaqua, Doris Hosler wife of Bruce of Tamaqua; brothers, John W. Steele and his wife Louise of Tamaqua, Richard T. Steele and his wife Karen of Pottsville; grandchildren, Nolan A. Stein, Mackenzie L. Stein, Kendra M. Anthony. Many nieces and nephews also survive Paul.

Paul was predeceased by his father, John Joseph Steele; brother, William Steele.

Paul started working at Remaly Manufacturing of Tamaqua at the age of 18 and worked there for 33 years. Paul enjoyed hunting and fishing. Paul looked forward to salmon fishing trips to New York.

Viola C. DiRenzo, 98, of Minersville, passed away Thursday, April 16th, at Rosewood Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven.

Viola was born in Minersville, on March 28, 1922, a daughter of the late Maria (Doddi) and Antonio DeFalco. She was the widow of Pasquale V. Direnzo who died January 19, 2011. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Pottsville and the former St. Barbara Church of Minersville. She was the owner of DiRenzo Florist, Minersville. In addition to her parents and her husband Pasquale “Patsy” DiRenzo she was preceded in death by her brothers; Anthony & Joseph DeFalco, Sisters; Theresa D'Attilio and Angie Murphy & Mary Skavinsky

Viola is survived by a daughter, Maria, wife of Nicholas Quinn with whom she resided following her husband’s death in 2011.

A son, Patrick A., husband of Geraldine (DeBias)DiRenzo. She is also survived by grandchildren, Nicholas & Gabriella Quinn, Patrick DiRenzo, Danelle Lazarchick, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews

All services shall be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Interment Saint Barbara Cemetery.

Lorraine Watral Gricoski, 88, of Frackville passed away Saturday, April 18, at Schuylkill Center, Pottsville, with her husband by her side.

Born in Greenburgh,, New York, March 4, 1932, and raised in Kulpmont, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Anastasia Fedock Watral. She was a graduate of Kulpmont High School.

Lorraine was a homemaker her greatest joy was raising her family of five children. Loving and attentive to all their needs. She loves her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She liked all seasons of the year, especially spring and summer as she tended to her flower beds and shrubs.

She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Frackville; she was active in St Ann Church choir, a pierogie maker and spent many years helping with the church picnic.

She was involved in many community functions; she was past president of the Rev. James A Hogan, Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, #2580; past president and past secretary of the former Ladies of the Elks, B.P.O E. Lodge #1533, both of Frackville

She and her husband owned and operated the former Gricoski Detective Agency; she was a Certified Polygraph Examiner and bookkeeper; she also obtained her real estate license.

Lorraine liked traveling, from camping to driving thru almost every state; she saw parts of Europe and explored the salt mines and walked part of the Great Wall of China. She had an adventurous spirit.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Stephen Watral.

Lorraine is survived by her husband of 65 years, Albert G. Gricoski, Frackville; children; Michael and wife Donna; Helen and husband Robert; Stephen and wife Margaret; Albert L and wife Denise and David and wife Holly; grandchildren; Rev. Thomas OSB, Marie, Jeanie, DO, Lorraine,, Michael, Andrea, Stephen, Matthew, David, Rachel and Andrew; 4 great grandchildren; Selena, Tristan, Jax and Miles; a sister, Helen Mirarchi, Mt. Carmel; several nieces and nephews

A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, Frackville, with Rev. Brian Miller as celebrant; for safety of family and friends there is no public visitation. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

In lieu of flowers donations in Lorraine’s name can be made the St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 7 S. Broad Mountain Ave. Frackville, PA 17931 or the charity of your choice.

Audrey K. Toth, 63, a former resident of New Jersey, currently residing in Ringtown, passed away Sunday, April 19th, 2020, while a guest at the Ridgeview Healthcare & Rehab Center in Shenandoah.

Audrey was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey on March 14, 1957, a daughter of the late Ida Mae (Lowman) Toth-Gallagher and Andrew John Toth, Sr.

Attended Southern Regional high school in New Jersey, as was a life long caregiver to those in need.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was preceded in death by two brothers, Don and Paul Toth.

Audrey is survived by her siblings, Ida, wife of Mark Smith of Stockton, NJ; Andrew Toth Jr., of Illinois; Anthony Toth and his wife Betsy of Manahawkin, NJ; Hope and her husband Robert McClung of Ocala, FL; June Mary Toth-Cortiaus of Ringtown; and Phyllis, wife of Edward Sulecki of Manahawkin, NJ.

Audrey cared for and was the favorite aunt to Ida Mae and her children, Bryan, Eddy, Onika and Piper.

As per her wishes, Audrey will return to the New Jersey coast, where a celebration of her life will be held by her family in the near future.
