Margaret W. "Peggy" Perron, 75 of Pottsville passed away peacefully at home Monday evening, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.

Born in Pottsville , May 26,1944 she was the daughter of the late Mathew F. Whitaker and Grace Whitaker. Peggy was a graduate of Nativity BVM High School. She went on later in life to receive her X-Ray Technician certification, from The Pottsville Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. She worked in this career field throughout her life at The Good Samaritan Hospital. Peggy was also an aide in the cafeteria at John S. Clarke elementary School for the past few years , she adored all of the children and her coworkers and would bring home precious stories about the little ones.

Peggy was an active member of The Lighthouse Church in Orwigsburg. She was also involved with the Allied Artists of Schuylkill County. After retirement Peggy nurtured her creative side and taught herself the art of Watercolor. She enjoyed participating in various local art shows and took great pride in displaying her works in The Arts Barn in Orwigsburg, and most recently,The Prussian Street Arcade in Manheim. She found such great pleasure sharing her lovely creations with others. Her greatest and most beautiful piece of art that she created was the love of God and Family that she instilled in her children and grandchildren .She loved to share the word of God and was a steadfast "Prayer Warrior" for all. Peggy also treasured the two opportunities that she had to travel to Haiti and Hondoras on medical and Christian Ministry missions. She loved to dance, be silly, make us laugh, play in the ocean, watch old movies, play scrabble and keep her finger on the pulse of her ever growing family, daily.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister Nancy Lazarchick.

Peggy is survived by her children, Kimberly Greis, Robesonia, son-in-law Scott Greis, Pottsville, J.P. Perron husband to Michele, Manheim, and Kelly Roos wife of Jason, Pottsville . She is also survived by her grandchildren aka " the cousin dozen"; Kingsley Schwartz wife of Steve, Elizabeth Greis fiancé to Mark, Lilley Greis, Michaela McDonald wife to Warren, Eli Perron, Isaac Perron, Grace Perron, Taylor Roos, Bailey Roos, Maci Roos fiancé to Travis, Jacob Roos and Caleb Roos.

Peggy is also survived by siblings James Whitaker, Mike Whitaker, Missy Whitaker, nieces and nephews.

A drive-by visitation will be held on Saturday at Grabowski Funeral Home starting at 11:00A.M.

Friends and extended family will be welcome to drive through the covered portico and pay their respects before traveling on to the grounds of Schuylkill Memorial Park where a graveside service for the immediate family will be held at 12:00 Noon. [ Your presence is meaningful, but due to the current social distancing standards, it is requested that all who attend please pay respects from your vehicles] A future Celebration of Life will be held at The Booking House, Manheim, date to yet be determined. Stephen F. Faust, 85, of Barnesville, passed away Sunday, April 26, at his residence.

Born Nov. 16, 1934, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Dora (Perry) and Albert Faust.

He served in the Army and was stationed in Alaska.

Stephen was a graduate of Mahanoy High School, and attended Penn State University and graduated with a degree in animal husbandry. He was formerly employed by Bristol-Myers Squibb as a pharmaceutical salesman. He was also the owner of Bison Meadows, Barnesville.

He was preceded in death by his second wife, Nancy (Seibert) Faust, and brothers, Albert, Robert and Benjamin.

He is survived by his daughters, Karen Simpson, wife of Sean, Bethlehem, Lynda DeTurk, wife of Dean, Fleetwood, and Stephanie Lagaza, wife of Joe, Barnesville; grandchildren, Hunter and Colton DeTurk and Joseph, Kayleigh and Benjamin Lagaza.

Louis G. Stolz, 84 of Pottsville died Monday at Providence Place Retirement Community, Pottsville.

He was born August 2, 1934 in San Antonio, TX a son of the late Lt. Col Frank C. and Dora Bazan Stolz.

He was a graduate of Suitland High School, Suitland, MD and Penn State University with a degree in Hotel Administration.

He was employed by the New York Hilton Hotel, New York City prior to retiring.

Louis was of catholic faith.

He was preceded in death by a brother, George Stolz.

Surviving are a brother, Frank Stolz, Pflugerville TX; a sister, Joyce Buckley and her husband Peter, Pottsville. 5 nieces, Tegan Leonard, Tara Wheeler, Cali Buckley, Keisha Burgess, Erika Moe.

Services of remembrance will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of James B. Humphrey, F.D., James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville.

Betty J. Budwash, age 90, of Mahanoy City, died Monday afternoon at Broad Mountain Nursing and Rehabilitation in Frackville. 

Born in Tremont she was the daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Roth) Morgan. She attended Tremont schools and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Mahanoy City. She had been employed by General Cigar formerly in Mahanoy City and also worked as a caregiver. Her door and candy jar was always open for her family and friends. 

Preceding her in death were her husband Charles in 2001 as well as 8 brothers and 2 sisters. 

Survivors include a daughter Joan Klatka and her husband John of Weston Place, son Charles and his wife Maureen of Morea, daughter Betty Malacusky and her companion Cyril Kufro of Fountain Springs, daughter Karen Wagner and her husband Lawrence of Frackville, daughter Cheryl Souchack of Trenton, daughter Kathy Sheirich and her husband Lester of Pine Grove, son Gary and his wife Alice of Pine Grove and daughter Terri Marowski of Grier City, a sister Diane Degler of Donaldson, 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Services will be privately held from David D. Jarrett Funeral Home in Mahanoy City with interment at Indiantown Gap Nation Cemetery in Anville. 

Contributions in Betty's name to the Alzheimer's Association 57 N. Franklin St. Wilkes Barre, PA 18701 would be appreciated by the family.

Sandra Mae Lurwick, age 79, of Port Carbon, PA passed away with her family by her side on Monday, April 27th, 2020 at Providence Place in Pottsville.
Born in Port Carbon, PA on February 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Elizabeth V. (Scanlan) Lurwick.
Sandra was a graduate of Pottsville High School, Class of 1958. She first worked for H.L. Miller and Son's in Port Carbon and the as a LPN for Rest Haven Nursing Home in Schuylkill Haven until retiring.
Sandra was a member of the former St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church in Port Carbon, where she was a member of the choir. She loved shopping on QVC and listening to her Irish music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Charles J. Lurwick.
Sandra is survived by a daughter Annette Devers and her husband Bill, Port Carbon; three grandchildren: Desiree, Melanie, and Billy; two great-grandchildren: Delilah and Danikah; a sister Elizabeth M. Carl and her husband Robert, Pottsville; three nieces Steph, Kim, and Heather; and great nieces and great nephews.
Services and interment will be held private due to the pandemic situation.
