The Mahanoy City Police are investigating a possible attempted burglary over the weekend.
According to Mahanoy City Police Chief Mark Wykriekas, on Saturday, May 9th, 2020, a Center Street resident reported arriving home to find that someone had been inside their apartment and had left a number of items near an exitway, suggesting that they were planning to return to take the items.
Police determined that the suspect or suspect gained entry from Locust Street at the west end of the block by placing a ladder against a neighboring garage to reach a second-floor balcony.
Police are asking if anyone has information about this incident to call (570) 773-2313.
