A Mahanoy City man was caught crawling out of a hole he made to gain access to a house in the borough.
According to Mahanoy City Police, Edwin Astor, 54, of Mahanoy City, was caught by neighbors Sunday morning, crawling out of the side of a house where he dug a hole to gain entry.
When neighbors spotted Astor, they stopped and detained Astor until police arrived.
Astor was charged by Mahanoy City Police with Burglary, Criminal trespass,and simple assault.
