Kathleen (Kathy) Chaklos, 69, of Port Carbon, died Monday May 4, 2020, LVHN – Cedar Crest, Allentown.
Born in Pottsville, August 18, 1950, She was a daughter of the late Harry and Katherine (Brennan) Roberts.
She was a graduate of Minersville High School.
She worked as a Waitress at the former Mister Donut & Blu Tavern Restaurant, Llewellyn . Kathy was one of the kindest, most thoughtful people you could ever meet. She adored her husband of 30 years, her children, and her grandchildren. She enjoyed making crafts and sharing them with everyone.
Kathleen was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, St. Clair and was very involved working with her husband at Immaculate Conception Catering Hall.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Harry Roberts Jr. and Tommy Roberts.
Surviving are her husband Joseph Chaklos; 2 sons Gregory Motuk and his partner Michael Mullen of Philadelphia; Joel Motuk and his wife Kathie of Minersville; daughter Kelly Logothetides and her husband Savas of Pottsville; 12 grandchildren Aislinn Lehane of Ireland; Sophia Lehane of Pottsville; Cleo Logothetides of Pottsville; Grace and Hope Motuk of Minersville; Martin and Matthew Salada of St. Clair; Caroline and Elizabeth Gammon of Pelham Manor, NY; Sawyer and Caleb Chaklos of Leesburg, VA; Bethann Chaklos of MI; 3 Great Grandchildren; 2 brothers John Roberts; Ricky Roberts (Linda);2 sisters Cindy Peppas (Demet); Sharon Roberts.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Private at St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair with Msgr. William F. Glosser will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception catering hall at the church address. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Clair. There will be a public memorial mass at a later date.

Susan T. Roman, 68, of Pottsville, passed away on Monday morning at Stoneridge Towne Centre, Myerstown.
Born in Shenandoah, on September 25, 1951, she was a daughter of the late Edward M. and Theresa (Turo) Roman.
Susan graduated from Marian Catholic High School in 1969 and Temple University in 1973.
She was fluent in multiple foreign languages, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in the French Foreign Language, while at Temple University. In 1976, Susan became certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education for the educational requirements for the profession of Pharmacist and, in 1977, was registered by the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Intern.
She proudly served her country in the United States Air Force. As an Airman in the Air Force in 1973, Susan was stationed in Monterey, CA as a Voice Processing Specialist/Interpreter in the Russian Foreign Language.
Susan was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, the American Veterans, and the American Legion.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Roman and niece, Bridget Bronder.
Susan is also survived by two sisters, Ruth Bronder (husband Mike), of Bowie, MD; and Renee Semick (husband Vic), of Pottsville; a brother, Edward J. Roman, of Collegeville; and nephews: Zachary and Matthew Bronder, Joshua Semick, and Tyler Roman.
A Memorial Mass will be private at the convenience of the family at St. Patrick R.C.C., Pottsville.
Interment will take place in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

Patrick P. Wood, 61, Ringtown, passed away unexpectedly Monday evening at his residence
Born in Ashland, he was a son of the late Thomas and Dorothy Lavelle Wood. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, Shenandoah.
Pat was a 1976 graduate of the former Cardinal Brennan High School. After graduating, he served his apprenticeship with the Pipefitters/Steamfitters International Union. He worked as a pipefitter for the Local 524 in Scranton until his retirement.
Pat was an avid Notre Dame, Eagles, Phillies and Nascar fan. He enjoyed playing the PA Lottery, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends in his garage, and detailing each and every one of their cars.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Wood and a nephew Joseph Wood Jr.
Patrick is survived by his loving wife, Gail Ketusky Wood, with whom he celebrated 35 years of marriage; his daughter, Dr. Jeanne M. Wood and her fiancé Caleb Vesnefskie, Kingston; his two sisters; Lynn and her husband Kevin Buchinsky, Ringtown and Anna and her husband Charles Shustack, Cape May, NJ; his two brothers: Donald and his wife Anne Wood, Allentown and Thomas Wood, Manville, NJ; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial and Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patrick’s name to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Eleanor C. Wessner, 81, of New Ringgold, passed away Tuesday, May 5th, at her residence.
Eleanor was born in Pottsville, on April 23, 1939, a daughter of the late Edith Bachman. She was raised by her Grandparents Edward "Cotton" & Ada Bachman
Eleanor was the wife of George Edward Wessner. They were married October 18th, 1958.
She graduated from Cressona High School, Class of 1957 and worked at Sylray and Alpha Mills in Orwigsburg.
In addition to her husband, George, of 61 years, Eleanor is also survived by her two daughters, Debra, wife of Michael Sterner and Robin, wife of David Penberth and her son, Edward Wessner. 7 Grandchildren, Brandon, Travis, Tyler Sterner; Megan Whitney; Laryssa Moyer; Kelcey & Madyson Wessner. Also surviving are 8 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth Dunkleberger, Florence Bindley, Barbara Hess, Edward Bachman Jr., and Robert Bachman.
Private services are entrusted to the Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg.

Scott Andrew Brzoska, 45, of Gordon, passed away at home on May 4, 2020.
Born April 15, 1975 in NJ the son of Frank and Kathleen (Bird) Brzoska.
A 1993 graduate of North Schuylkill High School, Scott proudly served four years in the U.S. Navy and one year in the U.S. Air Force and was afterward a long-time employee at Hydro Extrusion in Cressona.
Scott was preceded in death by a brother, Steve, earlier this year.
He was a loving boyfriend to Heather Adamski and treated her daughter, Sabrina Thompson, like she was his own. He always called her ‘Buddy’.
He is survived by his parents; a sister, Jamie Fetterolf; a brother, Randy Brzoska; and a grandfather, Frank Brzoska, Sr.
Scott was a caring uncle for his many nieces and nephews and godfather to Noah Brzoska.
A celebration of Scott’s life will be held by the family at a date to-be-determined. Gifts, flowers, or donations can be sent to Frank and Kathleen Brzoska. Donations can also be made in his honor to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at Pancan.org.

John Richard Lebid, 77, originally from Coatesville PA, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Sunday, May 3, 2020. Born on Feb 20, 1943, he was the son of late John Lebid and Anna Zadorozny Lebid. John was a member of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Coatesville.

After graduating from Coatesville Area High School, he earned a Drafting Certificate. He served as Military Police for the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command.
Following discharge from the military, he became an insurance agent for Prudential, and eventually partner/co-owner of Ardrey Insurance Agency in Gap Pa until he retired at 62. During this time, John was a member of the Lions Club in Gap, Pa., Rajah Shriners, and was a Mason belonging to the Williamson Lodge in Downingtown.
For over thirty years, John was a volunteer with the Downingtown Music Parents Association. Through his countless hours and efforts as a trip coordinator, thousands of Band, Choir, and Orchestra students enjoyed music and travel experiences. These trips provided a lifetime of memories for all involved.
After retiring, John moved to Pine Grove, PA, to live closer to his children and grandchildren while planning trips for himself. He loved traveling around the world and was able to make it to 6 of the seven continents before he passed away. His last trip was to Antarctica. Preceding him in death was his wife Linda Joyce Lawson Lebid, and a sister Nancy Lebid.
He is survived by his sister Catherine Miller of Oregon, two daughters, Dawn and husband Scott Christensen of Pine Grove, Melissa Lebid and husband Scott Pegler of Reading, and three grandchildren Nicholas, Cara, and Max.
Graveside Services and internment will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 2 pm at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Valley Twp. Pa, with Father Nicholas Dilendorf officiating. Graveside attendance will be limited within the cemetery fence during the ceremony. Anyone who wishes to pay respects will need to remain outside of the fencing until admitted.
