On Saturday, multiple people were injured and one person has died after a crash in Foster Township on Route 901.
Around 8:00pm, Saturday, emergency personnel were dispatched to Route 901 in the area of the Interstate 81 interchange for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
In the crash, a pickup truck and an SUV collided head-on in the middle of the overpass.
Two victims were entrapped in the SUV for almost a half hour. Multiple emergency personnel worked together to free the both of the victims. One other person also suffered serious injuries in the crash.
A Schuylkill County Deputy Coroner was also called to the scene for one of the victims.
At least one of the victims was also flown to an area hospital.
The driver of the pickup was reported to have suffered minor injuries.
Route 901 was closed in the area while the scene was cleared and investigated.
