A man was transported to the hospital Thursday morning after crashing through a fence in Mahanoy City.
Around 11:00am Thursday, emergency personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Linden and Spruce Street in Mahanoy City for a motor vehicle accident.
According to Mahanoy City Police at the scene, a male driver of a Jeep Patriot was travelling on Spruce Street when he reportedly suffered a medical distress and crashed into a fence of a home at the intersection.
The victim was out of the vehicle when police, EMS, and fire personnel arrived at the scene.
The victim was transported by Mahanoy City EMS for evaluation.
Mahanoy City Police impounded the vehicle due to the crash being under investigation.
Assisting police at the scene were the West End Fire Company, Mahanoy City EMS, and Steve's Towing.
