The Pottsville Police Department is investigating the death of a Schuylkill County Prison inmate on Tuesday.According to Pottsville Police Chief Richard Wojciechowsky, the Pottsville Bureau of Police is investigating the death of a Schuylkill County Inmate who had been transported to a local medical facility from SCO due to health reasons on Tuesday, June 9th, 2020 and passed away while a patient at the medical facility.
An investigation by the Pottsville Police is normal protocol for any inmate death.
The identity of the inmate was not released as of the time of this posting.
Wojciechowsky said further information will be released when available.
