If last Friday was of any indication, the 2020 season at Big Diamond Speedway is going to be a season to remember.
The opener played to a standing room only crowd along with race cars filling the pits. Topping off the night was the barnburner of race in the modified division between winner Jared Umbenhauer and Craig Von Dohren.
The exciting action returns this Friday June 19th, when the URC 360 Sprint cars rev their engines for the first time in 2020. The winged machines of the URC always put on a great show when they are in town and this Friday night will be no exception as the long tenured club looks to get their season off to a roaring start.
Joining the URC 360 Sprint cars Friday night will be the Insigner Performance Modifieds. Last week’s race winner Jared Umbenhauer will look to make two in a row, but the competition will be fierce as Craig Von Dohren will be looking to avenge his opening night runner-up finish. New Big Diamond regular Mike Gular was strong last Friday and surely will be ready to tee it up again on Friday as will Jeff Strunk, Duane Howard and a host of others all looking to visit victory lane for the first time in 2020.
The Savage 62 Crate 602 Sportsman will make their season debut this Friday night and compete in a 20-lap main event. Rounding out the evening card will be the Red White and Blue Autos Road Runners along with the Central PA Legends.
Friday night is also Father’s Giveaway Night in honor of all the awesome dads!
Gates will open Friday night at 5:30 with warmups starting at 7:15, racing will get underway at 7:45.
