According to Kingston Municipal Police, on June 15, 2020, around 11:00am, while assuming the identity of a fifteen year old female, Detective Stephen Gibson was contacted by a male who purported himself as "Jr,” a 39 year old male from Hazleton on a social media site. During this investigation, “Jr" was positively identified to be Jesse J. Klick, 38, of McAdoo, by utilizing facial recognition.
Jesse began the conversation by instant messaging "Hey how are you?” Jesse stated that he was at work at the time, which he stated he was a landscaper, and provided a "selfie." Jesse told her that she “looked like a cutie from what I could see,” and asked her to send more pictures.
Jesse stated that he was on the social media site looking for someone "sweet, caring and affectionate.” Jesse asked her what she does for fun and she told him that she just likes to hang out with her friends and party, to which Jesse replied that he does pretty much the same and that he "would love to have someone special I can do that with."
Jesse stated that he was 35 years old and that he didn't have a girlfriend. He then asked if she had a boyfriend and she told him that she did not. Jesse was advised that the person he was speaking with was only fifteen years of age. Jesse continued to message her, advising her that he lives about 20 or 30 minutes away, near Hazleton.
Jesse continued the conversation by asking what her favorite color was and she told him it was pink. He then replied, "I love when girls wear pink 😍.” Jesse then stated, "You'd proly look good in pink lingerie." She told him that she does and he replied "wish I could do something but stuck at work." He wrote that he loves a girl who wears lingerie and stated "I have some man thongs I could wear when you wear yours." She then replied that it sounded fun and he replied "I have a thong swim suit too but have no where to wear it lol."
Jesse further stated, "It would be nice to see you." She replied asking him if he would really come see her and he replied, “Yeah you seem nice." She then asked him what we could do and he replied, "Make out in your pool, or just cuddle and make out." She told him that he was just teasing and he replied, "I'm not teasing. I'm just at work and can't do anything about it,” including a sad face emoji. She told him that her mom would be home and he replied, “If we would've talked before I had to work I would've took day off." She then told him that she doesn’t drive yet that in a few more months she'll be 16 and she could get her license. He replied "Thats ok I drive" and continued to state “we can go anywhere to make out and what not."
Jesse agreed to purchase condoms because she wasn't old enough to buy them and he stated that he would use them if she wanted him to, but if he's with someone he doesn't want to use them. He then agreed that he would be her boyfriend so they didn't need to use the condoms. Jesse then agreed to meet her at specific location in Kingston at 9:30am on June 16, 2020.
On June 16, 2020 at approximately 9:30am, she messaged Jesse to see if they were still meeting. Jesse did not reply until 11:30am and stated that he got up late and that he was nervous because of the age difference and was worried it was a "setup." Jesse then asked to meet up on June 17, 2020, at the same location and the same time. Jesse then replied "and what we were talking about yesterday.. I don't wanna use a condom when we meet cuz I want to feel you, I will cum on outside don't worry." Jesse further asked if she had nice boobs and sent her "hugs and kisses" stickers. Jesse then stated, "Maybe I'll wear a man thong tomorrow." Jesse then stated that his car broke down and he had no way to get here to meet her. Jesse stated that he had to get his car fixed in the next day or two.
On June 19, 2020, the conversation continued where Jesse wrote that she would get kisses all over, whenever his car was fixed and that it would be with his tongue. Jesse then wrote that it would happen one of these days soon.
The conversation continued where Jesse said that his car would be fixed next week and he sent an emoji face with the tongue sticking out and wrote "licky licky front and back."
On July 2, 2020, Detectives spoke with Jesse Klick. Jesse provided a video/audio statement admitting to having the above mentioned sexually explicit conversation with who he believed to be a 15 year old female.
Jesse was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Joseph D. Spagnuolo, Jr. on the charges of 2 counts of Unlawful Contact with a Minor (Felony 1), 2 counts Unlawful Contact with a Minor (Felony 2), Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (Felony 3), and Unlawful Contact with a Minor (Misdemeanor 2).
Jesse was denied bail and lodged at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
His preliminary arraignment is scheduled for 09:30am on July 15, 2020 at Luzerne County Central Court.
