Joshua "JP" B. Phillippy, 22, of Ashland, passed away on July 4, 2020 in E. Cameron Twp., Northumberland County.
Born on December 24, 1997 in Hershey, PA, he was a son of Candace Daubert and husband Darryl Lockett of Ashland and Craig James and girlfriend Samantha Wendling of Tower City.
He was a 2015 graduate of Pine Grove High School and attended VoTech for small engine repair.
Joshua was a Machine Operator for USS Achey Inc.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a son Hunter Leo Emery; sister, Autumn Kaufman of Pine Grove; brother, Brandon Daubert of Pine Grove; grandparents, William Kaufman and companion Chris Adcock of Branchdale, Thomas and Rhonda Schneck of Pine Grove, William and Kathy James of Alaska, Linda Phillippy of North Carolina and the late Jeffrey Phillippy.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 4:00 P.M. at the Wesleyan Church, 74 Bethel Rd., Pine Grove with Pastor Kenny Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to Operation Hugs & Kisses, 127 S. Tulpehocken St.. Pine Grove, PA 17963 in his memory.

Jean Christina Kosmari, 70, of Orwigsburg, formerly of Saint Clair, died Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia (Matz) Maste.
A 1967 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, she attended Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington, Del., for two years.
Jean worked as an accountant for Kaiser Aluminum for 10 years; owner of “Sweets”- Custom Designed Cakes and Candies for 21 years; and manager of Fine Wine and Good Spirits, Hamburg, for 16 years.
She was of the Catholic faith.
Jean was an avid gardener and gourmet chef. She loved cooking for her family and spending time together.
Surviving are her husband of 47 years and best buddy, John Kosmari; sister-in-law, Gerry Kramer, of Saint Clair; nieces and nephews, Nadine Kruczek (Mark), Kevin Kramer (Cathy) and Roxanne McDonald (Bob); grand-nieces and -nephews, Collin, Alyssa, Zach, Brady, Chase and Kennedy.
Memorial services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Judith A. Syzdek, 77, Frackville, passed away peacefully Sunday at her residence with her husband at her side.
Born in Lost Creek #2, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia Hartzell. She had been employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry having last worked at the former Martin Shirt Factory.

Judy attended the former W. Mahanoy Twp High School and graduated from Shenandoah Valley High School after they merged. She enjoyed playing cards and attending sporting events but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sister Marian Gradwell and her grandson Brandon Hancock.
Judy is survived by her husband of 33 years Paul J. Syzdek, her daughter Barb wife of Robert Hancock, Shenandoah, her son Ed and his wife Kim Grigas, Frackville, her brother Ken Hartzell, Ft. Meyers, FL and her two sisters; Helen Sherakas, Pottsville and Jean Stauffer, Ringtown her grandchildren; Bobby, Scotty and Danny Grigas, Bobby ( Tiffani ) Hancock and Brenna Hancock, two great-grandchildren; Ethan and Asher Hancock.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Robert M. "Jeep" Anderson, Sr., 85, of Orwigsburg, passed away Saturday, July 11th, at Geisinger St. Luke’s- Orwigsburg. Born on February 19, 1935 in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Hazel & Warren Wink. Robert was the widower of Edna Fisher Anderson. To whom he was married 47 years.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Robert spent his life driving bus for Capital Trailways and as a Truck Driver for Bachman Pretzels.
Surviving are his son, Robert M. Anderson, Jr., husband of Kim Riggs; two granddaughters, Aimee Fisher, wife of Mark, and Brianna Anderson, companion of Mike Rollman; three great grandchildren, Reagan Fisher, Lilly and Michael Rollman.
He was preceded in death by his daughters Debra and Crystal Anderson and siblings Charles Wink, Patricia Marks, Blanche Walters and Sandra Smith.
A Religious Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 15th at Hamilton - Breiner Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. in Orwigsburg with Rev. Kenneth T. Melber, Jr. officiating. There will be public visitation from 9:30 AM until time of service. Interment, with Military Honors, will be in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Inc. Schuylkill Haven.

Susan Shoup, 56, of Ashland, PA passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA.
Born in Shenandoah, PA, December 30, 1963, the daughter of the late Ronald M. and Elizabeth M. (Mooney) Shoup. She was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School and worked as a CNA at Mount Carmel Nursing Home. She was a member of the Lavelle Fire Company.
She is survived by her companion, Joseph Fishburn, Ashland; and her son, Colby A. Fishburn, Ashland. 3 sisters and 1 brother: Melinda Stauffer, Ringtown; Melissa Zarcufsky and her husband Thomas, Ringtown; Nancy Hoover, Gordon; and Ronald Shoup and his wife Francine, Catawissa. Nieces and nephews: Samantha Shoup; Maxine Hoover and her fiance Dan Lentes; James Zarcufsky and his wife Brittany; Jennie Zarcufsky; Tommy Zarcufsky and his wife Stacey; and Garrison Zarcufsky . Great nephews: Brantley Zarcufsky and Dominic Zarcufsky and great niece, Avery Lentes.
She was preceded in death by a brother in law: Thomas R. Stauffer.
Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at the Kull-Heizenroth Funeral Home, Ashland, with Rev. Craig Zimmerman officiating.
