Born Thursday, December 16, 1948 in Coaldale, Pennsylvania son of the late Dr. Richard E. Miller, and Ruth (Howells) Miller. Richard was also predeceased by his sister, Dr. Elizabeth "Betsy" (Miller) Semko.
Surviving are son, Jeff Miller of Catasauqua; daughter, Denise Macher and her husband Justin of Schnecksville; grand children, Dylan, Brody, and Haley; former wife, Marianne (Boretsky) Miller.
A graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, Richard matriculated to Ursinus College. He worked as a stock broker, and cared for his beloved mother for many years. Richard enjoyed fishing and staying current on political events. Richard served honorably in the National Guard.

Emma A. “Nan” Fetterolf, 86, of 459 Aristes Road, Ringtown, former Ashland resident, passed away Wednesday, July 22nd, at her home with her family by her side. Born in Butler Township, August 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Florence Bredbenner Derr. She was a graduate of the former Butler Township High School, Fountain Springs, and the Pottsville School of Nursing. Emma was employed at the former Ashland State General Hospital as house keeper until her retirement, although her true calling was to be somewhere in the garden. She was so many things to so many people, being loved by everyone.
Preceding her in death were brothers, Michael David “Davey” and Phillip Derr, sisters, Irene Harner and Bernice Hornberger, also a great grandson Brady Edward Fetterolf.

Daughter: Michelle wife of John E. Rumbel of Rumbel’s Roadside Stand and Cider House, Ringtown
Daughter: Lena wife of Dale Kimmel, Gordon
First Granddaughter: Crystal A. Carduff, Ashland
Granddaughters and Care givers: Rebecca and Emily Rose Rumbel, Ringtown
Beloved Grandson: John David Rumbel, Hegins
Great Grandchildren: Johanna, Noah, Noel, and Raegan Rumbel, also McKenna Carduff
