A standoff has closed Route 61 in Butler Township Wednesday.
Just before 8:00am, state police were at called to a home in the 800 unit block of Fountain Street, Butler Township, in the area of North Schuylkill High School.
Debris could be seen laying on Route 61 in front of the home.
State Police called in a SERT unit to the scene for a barricaded person.
Route 61 is currently closed from Fountain Springs to Malone's Road.
As of 10:30am, the incident was still ongoing.
No other details are available at this time.
