A Tremont man was charged with an assault last month in Luzerne County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Hazleton, on June 28th, 2020 around 5:30am, troopers were dispatched to South Main Road in Dorrance Township just off Interstate 81.
Police say during an argument with a 40 year old woman, Chad Perkins, 42, of Tremont, became physical striking the woman in the face and neck injuring her lip, neck, jaw, and throat.
Perkins was located approximately 2 miles from the scene on Blue Ridge Trail, Dorrance Township.
Perkins was criminally charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, unlawful restraint, criminal mischief, harassment, and driving with a suspended license.
Perkins was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Joseph D. Spagnuolo Jr. who denied his bail, citing he was a danger to the community and danger to the victim, and locked him up in Luzerne County Prison.
