An Ashland was flown after a crash in Northumberland County over the weekend.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Stonington, the crash occurred on Lower Road in West Cameron Township around 7:45pm on Saturday, August 29th, 2020.
Police say Eleanor Chappell, 74, of Ashland was travelling on Lower Road just west of Gowen City when for unknown reasons veered to the left, and travelled off the highway on the opposite side of the road.
Chappell's Subaru Outback traveled through dense bush and trees for approximately 120 feet before hitting a tree head-on.
Chappell was seatbelted at the time of the crash but sustained serious injuries and was flown to Geisinger in Danville.
Assisting State Police at the scene were Area Services, Trevorton Fire, and Jeff's Towing.
