On Tuesday, the borough of Ashland issued a boil advisory after a water main break.
The break is located at near the former Ashland Hospital/St. Catherine's Hospital property in Fountain Springs.
The borough of Ashland has stated that due the break, the water system experienced a loss in pressure which could allow contamination.
The boil advisory is in place until further notice which means residents should not drink the water until it is boiled first.
Residents should also used boiled water for making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and food preparation.
