On Friday, the Frackville Fireworks Committee released details on their upcoming fireworks display that will be held on September 5th, 2020.
The original date for the display was July 3rd, 2020 but due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the phased reopening of the county, the event was postponed.
In a press release from the committee, the borough's fire whistles will signal the start of the show which will be aerial only.
With the COVID-19 social gathering restrictions there will be no public viewing area and no vendors for this year. Residents are asked to enjoy the fireworks from your neighborhood.
Residents on streets north of West Pine Street should be aware of street closures at 7:30 PM prior to the start of the display. Barriers will be in place to prevent access to ensure COVID-19 and fireworks safety.
The Fireworks Committee and Borough Council understand the sacrifices residents have made throughout the past several months and appreciate your cooperation in making this event safe and healthy for all to enjoy.
Rain date will be Saturday, September 12, 2020.
