Ashland Police have filed charges against a man that pulled a gun on another man during an argument while intoxicated in Ashland.
According to Ashland Police Officer Daniel Weikel, on Thursday, August 6th, 2020, around 10:15pm, the Ashland Police Department was dispatched to the 300 Block of Centre Street in Ashland in the area of Ashland Pizza for a report of an armed subject.
Police officers were advised that the male subject fled the area in a silver Jeep heading towards Girardville.
Responding to the area to assist Ashland Police in the search of the vehicle were officers from the departments of Shenandoah, Butler Township, and West Mahanoy Township.
Officer Weikel said upon speaking with the victim, it was learned that the victim was driving on Centre Street and observed 2 males walking across the street toward Ashland Pizza. One of the males yelled at the victim who then stopped his vehicle.
After a verbal interaction, one of the males, later identified as Christopher Snyder, 22, of Ashland, pulled a gun from his waistband and threatened the victim.
Snyder then fled the scene with another male in the silver Jeep.
The other male involved was identified and questioned by police the following day.
It was learned that Snyder was intoxicated the night of the incident.
Officer Weikel filed charges of terroristic threats, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness through Magisterial District Judge Christina Hale's Office, Frackville.
