Passerby Helps Injured Man After Motorcycle Lands on Him in Barry Township

An injured man was helped by a person passing by after his motorcycle landed on him over the weekend in Barry Township.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police at Schuylkill Haven, the incident occurred at the intersection of Cave Road and Deep Creek Road, Barry Township, on Saturday, August 15th, 2020 around 9:45am.

Police say James Neumeister, 72, of Hegins was stopped at a stop sign on his Harley Davidson Heritage motorcycle when he lost his balance and fell to the right.

Neumeister's motorcycle fell on top of him pinning him underneath.

Luckily, someone passing by was able to move the motorcycle off of him.

Neumeister was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries to his leg and was reported to have been wearing a helmet and eye protection.
