FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING... The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of central Pennsylvania, including the following
areas, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster,
Lebanon, Perry, Schuylkill, and York.
* Through this evening
* Steady, light rain to moderate rain early today will become
heavy for a 4 to 5 hour period beginning late this morning and
continuing into the late afternoon hours, as the center of
Tropical Storm Isaias lifts across southeast Pennsylvania and
New Jersey. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 4 inches are likely along
and to the east of the Interstate 83 and 81 corridors by the
time rain tapers off late This afternoon. Lower amounts are
expected west of Harrisburg and locally higher totals of around
5 inches are possible across eastern Lancaster County.
* Flash flooding is possible, especially in urban areas and on
small streams and creeks. The greatest risk of flooding will
be Tuesday afternoon over areas east of Harrisburg.
