This Thursday, a second Postal Office protest is scheduled in Pottsville.
According to Todd Zimmerman, Secretary of the Schuylkill County Democratic Committee, the peaceful protest is scheduled for Thursday, August 27th, 2020 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm outside Congressman Meuser's office, located at 121 Progress Avenue, in the Losch Plaza, Pottsville.
The protests which are being held around the country are due to changes by the United State Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to postal operations.
According to organizers, anyone wishing to protest should do so at the their local post office.
Organizers also said masks and social distancing are required for the event.
The first protest, which drew about 25 people, was this past Thursday, August 20th, 2020 at the same location.
