Philip W. "Phil" White, age 62, 0f Mahanoy City, died Tuesday morning at Shenandoah Senior Living Community.
Born at the former Locust Mountain Hospital he was the son of the late Adam and Mary (Mitchell) White.
He was a graduate of Mahanoy Area High School. He had been employed by Poly Plastics in Delano and last worked security for Wal Mart at High Ridge Industrial Park. He was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City. Phil was an avid fan of all sports especially the Baltimore Orioles.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Timothy White.
He is survived by a sister Michelle Wiekrykas and her husband John of Locust Dale and a brother Charles and his wife Margaret of Levittown as well as nieces and nephew's.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated by the Rev. Kevin P. Gallagher on Friday morning at 10 AM from St. Teresa of Calcutta Church in Mahanoy City.
Interment will follow in St. Canicus Cemetery in Mahanoy Township. Friends may call at the church on Friday beginning at 9 AM. A mask must be worn by all attending.

Clarence L. "Wacker" Herman, 83, of Tower City, passed away Tuesday, August 18th at the Tremont Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Sheridan, July 9, 1937, a son of the late Harry and Sadie Rowe Herman.
Clarence was a 1955 graduate of Porter Township High School.
He was a retired insurance agent for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.
He was a member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Reinerton, where he previously served on the council; a member of the Porter Tower Lions Club; was a former Vice President and Treasurer with the Porter Tower Recreation League.
Clarence had his private pilot's license, having owned his own airplane for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and spending time at his camp in Sunbury for over 25 years.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin T. Herman; brothers, David, William and Paul Herman; sisters Helen Underkoffler and Ethel Hummel.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Marie E. Weaver Herman; two daughters, Kathy Tuttle and her husband Bruce, Williamstown; Carol Hartlaub and her husband Scott, Harrisburg; one son, Kevin Herman and his wife Eleanor, Tower City; five grandchildren, Dr. Sara Haines, Eric and Kirk Tuttle; Jeffrey Hartlaub and Jacob Herman; four great grandchildren, Makayla, Cameron, Caleb and Silas. Nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 21st at 12PM from the St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Pastor Laura Csellak. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Elizabethville. Viewing will be from 11-12 at the church. Donations in his memory should be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1931 Wiconisco Street, Tower City PA 17980. Joseph Lohin, 95, of Minersville, passed away Saturday, August 15th, at Meadows Nursing, Dallas.
Joseph was born in Coal Castle, Pa. on August 24, 1924, a son of the late Mary (Schlacta) and George Lohin.
He was the widower of Helen (Mitchell) Lohin who died 9/25/1997.
He was a lifetime member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church Minersville.
Joseph was a veteran who served during World War II in the infantry in
Sicily, the invasion at Anzio Beach and the Italian Campaign.
He was a former Equipment Operator and Oiler at Reading Coal Co.
In addition to his parents and wife, Helen he was preceded in death by
Brothers: George Lohin, John Lohin, Michael Lohin, Stephen Lohin, Emil Lohin, Sisters:Veronica Kostura, Mary Panchison, Irene Tkachyk, Helen Ann Kessler.
Joseph is survived by a son, Joseph R. Lohin He is also survived by a brother, Paul, husband of Jeanette Lohin. He is also survived by Grandchildren; Steven Lohin and wife, Melody , Christopher Lohin and wife, Chrissy , Andrew Lohin and wife, Layla. David Lohin. Great grand children, Aidan, Ryan, Nicholas and Nina. Numerous nieces and nephews. All are respectfully invited to attend a visitation

Helen was born in Forestville, Pa. on August 18, 1920, a daughter of the late Mary (Welsh) and William J Murphy. She was the widow of John V. Salen who died November 23, 1999. Helen was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Church Reading. She was a graduate of Cass Township High School.
In addition to her parents and her husband, John, she was preceded in death by brothers; William,Vincent, John, & James Murphy. Sisters; Mary Brennan, Gertrude Burke, Angela Gilles, Ann Sabados. Helen is survived by a brother, Cyril Murphy of Minersville.
She is also survived by nieces and nephews including her caregivers Marcia Gleason and Jean Murphy of who she resided with. Services are private at the convenience of family. Mausoleum Encryptment Gethsemane Cemetery, Reading.
