Patricia E. Carroll
, 82 of Pottsville formerly of Sunnyside NY passed away peacefully on Friday August 21, 2020 at Providence Place in Pottsville.

Born May 16, 1938 in New York City she was the daughter of the late Patrick J. and Harriet (Pollock) Carroll.

Patsy worked for New York Presbyterian Hospital on E. 68th Street, New York City until she retired in 2001.

She moved to Pennsylvania in 2014 to be near her daughter Cathy Buchinsky formerly of New York City.

Patsy is survived by her daughter Cathy (Langley) Buchinsky wife of Brian of Port Carbon; two brothers Robert Carroll and his wife Patricia of Sparta, NJ; Anthony Carroll and his wife Miriam of Manahawken, NJ. She is also survived by nieces Linda Carroll of West Milford, NJ and Robyn Carroll of Brick, NJ, Jill Varesio and he husband Steve of Matawan, NJ and Erica Dewitt and her husband Christopher of Brooklyn, NY along with a nephew John Carroll and his wife Karen of Kinnelon NJ and two great nieces and three great nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Grabowski Funeral Home in Schuylkill Haven, PA on September 19, 2020 at 12:30 P.M. A visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. until the time of services

Catherine E. Dusel
, 94, of Palm Coast, FL and formerly of Pottsville, PA died August 13, 2020.

Born in Minersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J and Catherine Foran McDonald.

Raised in Minersville, PA, she graduated from Minersville High school in 1943. She was an artistic soul, and dabbled in landscaping, floral arranging, photography, oil painting and crafts for much of her adult life. She was an active Garden Club and Photography Club member receiving numerous awards and accommodations for her skills. She was employed in various capacities at Good Samaritan Hospital, as well as Tobias’ Apparel during he early life in Pottsville

She married Joseph L Dusel in 1951 and remained by his side for 62 years until his passing in 2013. She is survived by three sons Joseph (wife Katsuyo)-Vista CA, Martin (wife Maxine)-Palm Coast FL, David-Palm Coast FL Six grand-children Joshua (wife Sandi), Brian, Kayla, Michelle (husband Jay Risser), Emi, and Hana…as well as 4 great grand-children, Wyeth, Penelope, Quinley, & Jaxson.

She was preceded in death by her brothers Robert McDonald , and John McDonald.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Sept 18 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville, with Rev. David J. Loeper as celebrant. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30-10:30AM at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Interment will follow in St. John No. 2 Cemetery, Pottsville.

Sandra Jean Lombardo
, 74, New Ringgold, passed away peacefully Wednesday at her residence.

Born in Pen Argyl she was a daughter of the late Oswald and Pearline Gable Fenner. She had been employed as a cashier for several local business and was presently a cashier at Walmart in Lehighton.

She will be fondly remembered for her specialty work as the owner of Sandy’s Stained Glass.

Sandy is survived by her son Joseph Lombardo and his fiancé Holly Hoff, Mountain Top, her daughter Lisa wife of Kevin Lobb, Bangor, her sister Linda wife of Steve Doviak, Port Orange, FL, her beloved grandchildren; Robert, Amy, Kevin, David, Cody and Kyle, her great-grandson Logan her niece Michelle and her spouse Debra Dech and will be sadly missed by her beloved cat Kiki also by nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Betty I. Troup
, 88, of Tower City, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 25th at the Tremont Nursing Home.

Born in Fearnot, May 4, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Francis Long Miller.

Betty was always willing to help people out and everyone called her Mem. She very much enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and bowling. Her family was her world.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jerome V. Troup; her daughter, Barbara Malone (Jamie) of Sheridan. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Nettie Morgan, Vicky Kushmanic and Elizabeth Harner; two brothers, Levi and John Miller.

Surviving are four children, Donna Clark (Len), Pine Grove; Jerome "Junior" Troup (Sandy), Joliett; Tammy Gonder (Karen), Williamstown and Troy Troup (Bev), Muir; also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. Betty is also survived by two sisters, Shirley Schaeffer, Reading and Lillie Miller, St. Lawrence; Nieces and nephews.

Virginia M. “Ginny” (Strenchock) Vesay
, 66 of Minersville passed away on Wednesday morning, August 26, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville with family by her side.

Born in Philadelphia on August 19, 1954 she was a daughter of the late Peter and Ruth (Martonis) Strenchock.

Ginny was a graduate of West Catholic Girls’ High School, Philadelphia. She then attended Penn State University and graduated from King’s College, Wilkes-Barre earning her master’s degree as a physician assistant (PA).

She was a retired physician assistant having worked in family practice in Maryland.

Ginny was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening and playing slot machines. She was an avid shopper and enjoyed listening to “Polka Joe”. But above all, she cherished the time spent with her family especially her grandchildren.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents was her infant son, Paul.

Surviving are her husband of thirty-six years, Ronald A. Vesay; two daughters, Amanda Muraczewski and her husband Jason of Ringtown and Jessie Vesay of Minersville; one step-daughter, Deborah Kramer; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Amber, Angela, Janelle and Jack; great-grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Strenchock and his wife Mary of Havertown and one niece.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Walukiewicz-Oravitz Fell Funeral Home, 132 S. Jardin St., Shenandoah is in charge of the arrangements.

Leslie P. Rittenbaugh, 78, of Pine Grove, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at home.

Born on July 23, 1942 in Pine Grove Twp., he was a son of the late Theodore and Naomi Shadle Rittenbaugh.

He was a 1960 graduate of Pine Grove High School and a member of St. Paul's UCC, Ravine.

Leslie was a machine operator at Guilford Mills, Pine Grove.

He loved spending time with family and woodworking.

Preceding him in death were a son, Jeremy Rittenbaugh, a brother, Robert Rittenbaugh, and a sister, Alice Donmoyer.

Surviving are two sons, Kevin and wife Stacy Rittenbaugh, and Randy Rittenbaugh, both of Pine Grove; six grandchildren, Brooke, Aaron, Kaitlin, Meagan and Tia Rittenbaugh, Elizabeth Knapp; two great grandchildren, Clayton Rittenbaugh and Faelyn Chamberlain; two brothers, Dale "Pete" and wife Sharon Rittenbaugh, William Rittenbaugh, both of Pine Grove; nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services and interment will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 3:15 P.M. at St. Paul's Reformed Cemetery, Ravine, with Pastor Ronald Sump, Jr. officiating. There will be a viewing on Monday, August 31, 2020 from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the H. L. Snyder Funeral Home, Inc., Pine Grove. A procession to the cemetery will leave the Funeral Home following the conclusion of the viewing.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions be made to the Oak Grove Chapel, c/o Ronald Stump, Sr. 384 Mountain Rd., Pine Grove, Pa. 17963 in his memory.
